Why Marvle3D?
Marvle3D—New Zealand’s expert since 2016, offering friendly support, in-store demos, and one of the country’s largest ranges.
Step 1: Position the Printer for Access
Flip the screen to the side and gently place the A1 printer on its front, using a filament box to support the top and prevent pressure on the extruder and screen.
Step 2: Remove the Printer’s Bottom Cover
Remove the 10 red-marked screws to release the bottom housing, then loosen the yellow-marked screw—which stays attached to the cable bracket and cannot be fully removed.
Step 3: Disconnect the Wires and Remove the Wire Bracket
Disconnect the Camera, Motor X, and Motor Z cables, then push the plastic wire bracket upward to release the USB cable—ensuring screw 11 from the previous step is fully loosened if the bracket resists—and finally pry off the plastic bottom cover.
Step 4: Remove the Heatbed Power Wires
Press the sides of the connectors to release the locking clips and disconnect the two heatbed power wires, noting that the newer AC board version removes the ground wire without affecting functionality or performance.
Step 5: Remove the Heatbed Signal Cable Connector
Carefully pull the heatbed signal cable connector straight out—using a tool or gripping the plastic housing—while avoiding pulling on the wires to prevent damage.
Step 6: Disconnect the Ribbon Cable
Lift the black plastic latch to unlock the connector, then gently pull the ribbon cable toward you to disconnect it.
Step 7: Remove the Remaining Wire Connectors from the AC Board
Disconnect all remaining wires from the AC board—removing connectors 1, 2, and 3 first, then finishing with connectors 4 and 5—using the same method as the heatbed cables.
Step 8: Remove the AC Board
Remove the single screw located in the center of the AC board, then gently pull the board out by releasing the plastic clips at the top that hold it in place.
