Step 1: Remove the Textured PEI Plate
Begin by lifting and removing the Textured PEI sheet from the heatbed to start the heatbed removal process.
Step 2: Remove the Heatbed Screws
Remove the three tension screws securing the heatbed—keeping in mind the top right has no screw—then proceed to remove all four heatbed mounting screws.
Step 3: Remove the Printer’s Bottom Housing Cover
Place the printer on its side with the Z-axis pillar facing the table, remove the 16 screws securing the bottom cover—keeping track of screws 15 and 16 as they are different—to access the MC board fan.
Step 4: Remove the Plastic Wire Cover
Remove the three screws securing the plastic wire cover—remembering that screw number 3 is located on the side—to access the power supply terminals.
Step 5: Disconnect the Heatbed Wires
Remove the heatbed cables by pressing the small metal latch on each connector while pulling the wires, as the clips securely lock the connectors in place.
Step 6: Remove the Heatbed Cable from the Printer
Unscrew the bracket securing the heatbed cable, then pull the cable out to fully release it from the printer—completing the heatbed removal process.
