Step 1: Safety Check and Lower the Heatbed
Ensure the printer is powered off before working on the Micro Lidar, then use the movement menu to lower the heatbed so the toolhead is safely distanced from it before shutting down the machine.
Step 2: Open the Front Housing Assembly
Gently pull off the top front housing, then hang it over the carbon rod to keep it clear of the work area.
Step 3: Remove the Micro Lidar Upper Cover
Use a thin blade or sheet metal tool to gently pry up the top cover, then lift it carefully away from the micro Lidar assembly.
Step 4: Remove the Micro Lidar Lower Cover
Insert the Allen key into the indicated position and apply downward pressure to release the latch, then pry the lower cover free and remove it completely from the toolhead.
Step 5: Prepare the New Shell
Separate the new Bambu Micro Lidar shell into its top cover and lower segment so both pieces are ready for installation.
