Step 1 – Disassembling the Complete Hotend Assembly
Remove the two screws securing the hotend cooling fan and lift the fan away from the assembly.
Step 2 – Remove the Silicone Sock
Remove the silicone sock, making sure the wire notch remains aligned with the heatsink wire channel.
Step 3 – Remove the Retaining Clip
Carefully pull the retaining clip downward and away to release both the ceramic heater and the thermistor.
Step 4 – Disconnect the Ceramic Heater Wires
Using needle-nose pliers, gently grip the ceramic heater’s two wires and carefully detach them.
Step 5 – Remove the Complete Hotend Assembly
Carefully lift the wires out of the plastic wire clip and remove the complete hotend assembly. Note: If you are installing a new complete hotend assembly, skip ahead to Installing the complete hotend assembly; otherwise, continue to the next steps.
