Introduction to H2C Machine With AMS 2 Pro:
Revolutionize How You Print Your Projects
Say goodbye to hand-painting—print up to 7 colors in a single piece with Purge-Saving Multi-Color Printing. The H2C brings intricate designs to life using six vibrant colors plus a seventh nozzle for supports or an extra accent color. This example model prints in just two parts: the raptor in 6 colors and the base in another 6. Compared to the H2D and H2S, the H2C delivers dramatically lower purge waste (532 g vs 3032 g vs 3917 g) and faster print times (58% vs 88% vs 100%), giving you cleaner, more efficient multi-color results.
No More Assembly — Multi-Material in One Print
The H2C enables purge-free multi-material printing with up to seven materials in a single run, letting you combine properties like PA6-GF rigidity, TPU impact absorption, and PC-FR flame resistance into one seamless, fully integrated part—eliminating assembly and unlocking advanced functional design in a single print.
Print Durable Joints Built Directly Into Your Parts
Create long-lasting, flexible TPU ball joints seamlessly integrated into multi-color robot models. Using TPU for AMS on joint sections and PLA Matte for the main body, you get smooth articulation, strong durability, and fully functional movement straight off the printer—with no assembly required.
Vortek Hotend Change System
The Vortek system enables multi-material printing with minimal purge waste by replacing the entire hotend instead of purging between materials, delivering faster, cleaner transitions and significantly more efficient multi-material prints.
Fully Automatic Filament Change
The Vortek system integrates seamlessly with the highly reliable AMS, enabling fully automatic filament changes without manual loading, ensuring smooth, hands-free transitions between materials.
Always Delivering the Most Efficient Combination
The Vortek system stores filament data directly in each hotend, ensuring every hotend is paired with the correct material, and when using more than seven filament types, it intelligently calculates the most efficient combinations to keep purge waste to a minimum.

8-Second Induction Heating
Industry-leading induction heating brings the nozzle to temperature in just 8 seconds, dramatically reducing preheat time and making each material swap significantly faster than traditional heating methods.
Dedicated Hotend for Specific Filaments
The H2C’s Vortek system allows you to assign any of its six interchangeable hotends to specific filament types, providing superior consistency and reliability—especially for valuable engineering materials. Each hotend automatically stores filament data, ensuring that every time you load that material, it is instantly paired with the correct hotend for optimal performance.
Top-Tier Printing Performance
The PMSM servo extruder delivers up to 10 kg of extrusion force—70% more than a stepper motor—greatly improving high-flow extrusion stability, while its 20 kHz resistance and position sampling provides real-time detection of filament grinding and clogs for more reliable high-speed printing.
Smooth Surfaces, Sharp Edges
The H2C uses its extruder’s servo sensing and high-resolution eddy current nozzle sensors to precisely monitor extrusion dynamics, automatically calibrating Pressure Advance for each filament to deliver smoother surfaces and cleaner, sharper edges.
Comprehensive Print Monitoring
The H2C uses 59 onboard sensors* and a quad-camera computer vision system powered by a proprietary neural algorithm to deliver intelligent, real-time diagnostics, detecting even subtle print anomalies as they occur—so you don’t need expert knowledge; the printer identifies issues for you.
AI Camera
The H2C’s AI-powered camera continuously analyzes extrusion patterns, instantly identifying buildup, filament deviations, and extrusion failures, and performs a pre-flight scan before each job to ensure a safe, reliable start.
AMS 2 Pro Advanced Multi-Material & Filament Management
The AMS 2 Pro supports up to 24 colors or materials by serially connecting up to four AMS 2 Pro units and eight AMS HT units, features an electro-magnetic air vent for fast filament drying and air-tight storage, reaches drying temperatures up to 65°C, and uses a brushless motor to deliver up to 60% faster filament feeding speeds.
Intelligent Filament Drying & Sealed Storage
The electro-magnetic air vent enables automated venting for efficient dehumidification during drying, then seals airtight to maintain low humidity and preserve filament quality for extended periods of reliable printing.
Automatic Spool Rotation for Even Drying
During the drying process, the filament spools automatically rotate to promote consistent airflow and ensure more uniform moisture removal across the entire spool.
RFID-Based Automatic Filament Recognition
AMS 2 Pro uses RFID to automatically recognize Bambu official filaments and apply the correct drying settings, eliminating the need for manual configuration.
High-Speed Filament Feeding for Faster Multi-Material Printing
The Bambu permanent magnet synchronous servo motor increases filament feeding speed by up to 60%, improving multi-material printing efficiency and saving an average of about 10 minutes for every 100 filament changes.
Sync With Bambu Studio and Bambu Handy
Control and monitor your P1S remotely using Bambu Studio or the Bambu Handy app. The built-in camera lets you check print progress anytime and even record timelapse videos. Enjoy seamless connectivity and smarter printing from anywhere.

Frequently asked questions:
Note: All answers are copied from Bambu Office website. They are from Bambu point of view
1. Q: What hotends are included in the H2C Combo?
1. A: The H2C AMS Combo/Laser Full Combo includes 8 hotends and 1 AMS 2 Pro: Right hotends (Induction hotends): 4 × 0.4 mm hardened steel induction hotends, of which 1 is pre-installed on the printer and 3 are included in the accessory box. The accessory box also includes 1 × 0.2 mm induction hotend and 1 × 0.6 mm induction hotend. Left hotends (Standard hotends): 2 × 0.4 mm hardened steel standard hotends, of which 1 is pre-installed and 1 is included in the accessory box. Currently, the firmware supports mixed flow-rate printing (standard flow + high flow), but does not yet support mixing different nozzle sizes during printing. If this feature is added in the future, we will provide details through a software update.
2. Q: If i want full hotend- swap capability, what additional hotends do i need? How should the AMS be connected?
2. A: To fully experience the Vortek 6-hotend automatic swap system, we recommend purchasing the H2C Ultimate Set, which include: 3 × 0.4 mm induction hotends, 1 × 0.2 mm left hotend, 1 × 0.6 mm left hotend, 1 x AMS 2 Pro, 1 x AMS HT. Combined with the AMS 2 Pro that comes with the H2C Combo, you will then have 2 × AMS 2 Pro + 1 × AMS HT. Ultimate setup: Two AMS 2 Pro feed the right induction hotends; AMS HT feeds the left hotends. This gives you full 7-hotend automatic swapping with AMS support on both sides. In addition to the above options, you can also try: Multi-AMS Setup: Add 2 × AMS HT. All three AMS feed the right-side hotends. Future Setup (2026): A Filament Track Switch Module will be released, allowing full 7-hotend support with only 2 AMS units, enabling free filament switching between left & right filament paths.
3. Q: Does the H2C support laser and blade-cutting functions?
3. A: The H2C Laser Edition supports both 10W and 40W laser modules and is also compatible with the blade-cutting module. The non-laser H2C supports blade-cutting by default, but can be upgraded to support laser functions via an upgrade kit.
4. Q: Can H2S or H2D upgraded to H2C?
4. A: Both H2D and H2S users may upgrade to H2C by installing the Vortek Upgrade Kit. However, the upgrade process is complex and time-consuming, so users who want the Vortek experience are recommended to purchase H2C directly. Purchasing H2S/H2D first and upgrading later will incur extra cost. The Vortek Upgrade Kit is expected to be available in early 2026.
5. Q: Can H2C dual-nozzle printing be used with different nozzle sizes simultaneously?
5. A: Not currently. The firmware does not yet support mixing nozzle sizes (left vs. right or within Vortek hotend sets). However, mixed nozzle types of the same size (e.g., 0.4 mm standard flow + 0.4 mm high flow) are supported.
6. Q: Are the H2C buildplate, calibration plate, laser platform, and blade-cutting mats compatible with H2D?
6. A: Because the Vortek hotend rack occupies additional space, the H2C print bed is slightly smaller than the H2D. Therefore, buildplates are not interchangeable between H2C and H2D. However, the vision calibration plates, laser platform, and blade-cutting mats are fully compatible across all H2 series models.
